NetLink Trust confirms that the network outage affecting the vicinity of Woodlands was resolved at 0215hours on 1 August 2015.
The network outage was due to damage to the fibre infrastructure caused by a contractor performing works for the Land Transport Authority (LTA) along Woodlands Avenue 2. NetLink Trust worked closely with all relevant parties to ensure that the service was restored at the affected areas.
Mr Ng Yong Hwee, Chief Executive Officer of NetLink Trust said, “We put in all available resources to ensure a speedy and safe recovery and are glad that we managed to restore service ahead of our original estimate. We thank the affected users for their understanding and patience in this matter.”
“We are continuing to work closely with LTA and its contractors to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent damage to underground cables. We also urge other contractors to consult NetLink Trust on the necessary precautions before carrying out earthworks,” Mr Ng added.
